FOOD SAFETY AND HYGIENE

  • A documented policy on Food Safety Management Systems has been prepared by the Company and a detailed Food Safety Manual is available, which includes Standard Operating Procedures on various aspects of food safety and hygiene.
  • Policies on Prevention of bioterrorism and unauthorized entry into the factory premises has been prepared and is available with the Company.
  • Policy on Nicotine Contamination prevention to ensure no accidental adulteration in the process of manufacture.
  • It is mandatory for every worker to use personal protective equipment as - head covering, face masks, shoes and gloves, which they are allowed to wear only inside the factory premises while handling tea in the manufacturing process. Every worker employed at the factory is required to be medically examined and certified fit to handle food by the medical department on a regular basis.
